" FOOD. On Monday afternoon, candidates from five political parties in the Mauricie and South Shore regions cooked two meals for four people on a budget of 18.50 $. The challenge was issued by COMSEP to raise awareness of the realities of low-income families.
Representatives of the Parti libéral du Québec, Parti québécois, Coalition Avenir Québec, Québec solidaire and Parti vert du Québec agreed to take part.
As part of a friendly competition, teams had to prepare tasty dishes in line with Canada's Food Guide. They also had to be dairy-free. The teams all rose to the challenge, but victory went to the Green Party of Quebec, who concocted a vegetarian chili that won over the jury with its flavors."
