Journal Métro: Rehabilitation underway at 86-88 Hymus

"Six years after thousands of liters of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB)-contaminated liquids were spilled, soil remediation work began last month at the former Reliance Power Equipment site on Hymus Boulevard in Pointe-Claire.

DEC Enviro was commissioned to carry out the work by Juste Investir, the current owner of the site. Enviro Urgence was commissioned by DEC Enviro to carry out the first stage of the work, which involved cleaning the interior of the building. The entire project should be completed before the end of the year.

"The work will put a definitive end to this issue for the benefit of everyone," enthuses Pointe-Claire Mayor John Belvedere."
