The leader of the Green Party of Quebec, Alex Tyrrell, and Victoria Shahsavar-Arshad, candidate in Groulx, took the stage this Friday to present the party's proposal for dental and vision care.
With universal health coverage already in place, the Green Party believes it's time for the province to consider all aspects of Quebecers' health.
The PVQ believes that dental care is just as important as the general health of Quebecers, that it is an essential element of overall health and that in a place as wealthy as Quebec, residents should be able to keep all their teeth. Yet, at present, many people in the province cannot afford these sometimes expensive services, thus neglecting a major aspect of their health and well-being. That's why we're proposing free dental care for everyone.
Sight is an essential part of our health. Yet many Quebecers go without eye care because it can be expensive. That's why the party is proposing the introduction of free eye examinations for all.
