Today I signed an historic agreement on proportional representation with the leaders of the three opposition parties at the National Assembly; Francois Legault of the CAQ, Jean-Francois Liseé of the PQ and Gabriel Nadeau-Dubois of Quebec Solidaire.
This is a great day! We now have a clear consensus amongst the four major opposition parties that favours proportional representation.
It has been a pleasure to contribute to these negotiations over the past four years and this agreement is a huge step forward for democracy in Quebec and across Canada.
