Internship: Communications and Political Campaign

Job Description

The Green Party of Quebec is looking for motivated individuals to become actively involved in the 2026 Quebec general election,   which will take place on October 5. This internship is intended for those who want hands-on political experience at the heart of an electoral campaign, working directly with citizens and engaging with real on-the-ground issues.

About the Role

Interns will play an active role within the party and contribute directly to the election campaign.

Depending on their interests and comfort level, responsibilities may include:

  • Engaging directly with citizens (door-to-door canvassing, phone calls, events)
  • Answering public questions about the Green Party of Quebec’s positions
  • Explaining and promoting the party’s platform
  • Writing political content (posts, statements, public responses)
  • Participating in public speaking opportunities (community meetings, events, videos)
  • Representing the party’s ideas in various contexts

This role offers meaningful and progressive involvement, with support and guidance from the team.

Candidate Profile

Applicants must:

  • Hold Canadian citizenship and be eligible to vote in Quebec
  • Have an interest in politics, environmental issues, and social justice
  • Be comfortable with public communication or willing to develop these skills
  • Be able to explain ideas clearly and accessibly
  • Demonstrate autonomy, initiative, and motivation
  • Be open to taking on a public-facing role (depending on comfort level)

Practical Information

  • Unpaid internship
  • Flexible commitment (adapted to studies or work schedules)
  • Primarily field-based involvement (remote participation available)
  • Contract duration : 3 months
