In the context of the federal by-election in Terrebonne, the Bloc Québécois is releasing a new slogan in one of their political ads.
This slogan that says « Quebecois, let’s RE-take our place » echoes a lot of right-wing sentiment on immigration and concerns Alex Tyrrell, leader of the Green Party of Quebec.
In a social media post, Tyrrell shares the following statement :
“”Quebecois let’s re-take our place” : A coded message to please right-wing extremists. Thankfully Terrebonne electors were clear and refused this messaging. Instead, they elected a woman of haitian origins, alumni of concordia university. Bravo!” – Alex Tyrrell via facebook and x
