The 2026 Quebec provincial election is approaching rapidly. To be able to have a strong political presence and a chance at being able to sit in the National Assembly, we are currently recruiting new candidates for the Green Party of Quebec! But why take action?

The Green Party of Quebec is looking for people with different life experiences. We’re looking for students, young people, blue collar workers, professionnals, retired people, people living with an handicap, people that are involved in their local community, people who have never taken political action prior, activists, parents, and people who work or get involved in various fields. People with or without experience, real people who wish to make a difference by contributing to the party.

In the 2026 elections, the Green Party of Quebec wants to answer to what is affecting the population of Quebec directly, affordability. To do so, we want to lower rent, an initiative that has not been put forward by any other party. We also want to put forward a public network of grocery store that is managed by the government. “Alimentation Québec” would directly influence the cost of groceries by not having the same absurdly high profit margins of grocery store chains. Also, the Green Party wants to directly oppose Quebec’s political right by being a party that values social rights for our most at risk minorities.

In 2018, the Green Party of Quebec managed to reach parity by having more than 50% female candidates. We wish to reach this objective once again this year by prioritizing candidates of minority genders. A diverse party is a party that can represent its population even better.

To be a candidate for the Green Party of Quebec is a unique professional experience that can help develop personnal branding. To be a candidate for the Green Party of Quebec is a great communications and public relations experience. To be a candidate for the Green Party of Quebec is a campaigning experience that lets you reach your community. To be a candidate for the Green Party of Quebec is giving an opportunity for the people in your community and all over Quebec to vote for a party that cares about them.
