While Canadian and international activists, including a former Green Party candidate, have been detained for attempting to deliver humanitarian aid to the besieged Gaza Strip, Mark Carney is trying to appear tough by summoning the Israeli ambassador over a video published by genocidal Israeli defence minister.

The key thing here is that the Israeli defence minister, who published a video of these activists being held at gunpoint, handcuffed, with their faces on the floor, has also been criticized by Netanyahu. They are in the same government and work for the same state, but are from different political parties.

Carney’s fake anger is therefore authorized by Israel. Netanyahu spoke first.

How Canada can continue to arm, supply and trade with Israel while they are carrying out a livestreamed genocide is absurd.

These latest comments sound tough, and they are designed to do just that. However, they must be taken in context; this is all an act, a ploy to buy Israel more time to kill and torture more people before the world stops them.

Do not let Carney’s fake tears fool you. He is a Zionist and supports violence that perpetuates Israel’s colonial objectives.
