Rachid Jemmah was born in Morocco. He immigrated to Canada in 2003 and has lived in Gatineau ever since. He is the father of two young children and hopes to provide them with a sustainable planet, while repairing as much of the damage caused by previous generations as possible. He is involved in politics to promote the environment, social justice, and community cohesion. He chose to run under the banner of the Green Party of Quebec because the party’s commitments resonate deeply with him.
Rachid is a hard-working man. He built his career as a manager of several McDonald’s restaurants in the region. In this role, he was at the forefront of many community events, including the 2017 floods and the 2018 tornado. These events opened his eyes to the impacts of climate change, both locally and globally. He wanted to take action to ensure concrete steps were taken to protect the environment.
Aware that Quebec politics is sometimes based on division rather than unity, Rachid Jemmah hopes to bring a wave of unity to Quebec. He wants the province’s diverse communities to live in harmony. He wants to fight systemic racism, bring people together around the values of fairness, sharing, and living together. He wants to dispel prejudices against immigrants by uniting cultures.
In his free time, Mr. Jemmah loves hiking in the forest, walking with his children in Gatineau Park, and fishing. He hopes to contribute to sustainable development by protecting green spaces.
For Rachid Jemmah, every vote cast for the Green Party of Quebec helps to participate in the public debate and fight for the environment. For all these reasons, and more, Rachid Jemmah would be honored to have your support in the Quebec general election on October 5, 2026. Every vote counts!
