Pierre-Christophe Dagher Falardeau is entering politics to advocate for a more just, compassionate, and inclusive society. Born in Granby, having lived in Rouyn-Noranda before settling in Montreal, he has called the borough of Saint-Laurent home since 1998. A member of the Lebanese community, he grew up in an environment where politics played an important role, largely because of his family’s history during the Lebanese Civil War. From an early age, he developed a strong interest in political and social issues, convinced that political decisions have a direct impact on people’s everyday lives.
Pierre-Christophe completed a Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in Social Sciences, World Studies profile, at Cégep de Saint-Laurent. He then pursued studies in philosophy at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, completed tourism training in France, and earned a Certificate in International Cooperation and Solidarity from the Université de Montréal. He is currently completing a Bachelor of Arts by accumulation, including a major in Anthropology at the Université de Montréal. His academic and personal journey has led him to develop a deep understanding of social relations, inequality, and global issues.
He has several years of experience in the field of international cooperation. He completed volunteer assignments in Peru and Bolivia before joining a non-governmental organization as a Training Officer. He was also actively involved in his union, serving for one year as Vice-President of his organization’s local union. Today, he works for World University Service of Canada (WUSC) as a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer for international development projects.
Pierre-Christophe explains that his political outlook has evolved considerably over the years. Once more individualistic and inclined toward conservative ideas, he experienced a profound personal turning point after facing a serious health emergency while living in France. Having received prompt care through the French public healthcare system, he came to appreciate the importance of universal access to healthcare and began reflecting more deeply on the value of collective responsibility and social solidarity. This experience convinced him that public policy has a direct impact on people’s quality of life and that economic and social inequalities have real consequences for society as a whole.
For him, the Green Party of Quebec is the political party that best reflects his progressive and ecosocialist values. He especially appreciates the party’s commitment to defending its principles without compromise and proposing solutions that go beyond short-term electoral calculations. He believes in strengthening public services, supporting local producers, and reducing social inequality.
Politically, Pierre-Christophe is also committed to promoting a more humane approach to immigration. He opposes the elimination of the Quebec Experience Program (PEQ), believing that Quebec should make it easier for newcomers to integrate and should recognize the root causes that force people to leave their home countries, including war and global inequality. In his view, many international conflicts and migration crises are directly linked to imbalances in the global economic system and to military interventions.
In his free time, Pierre-Christophe enjoys playing baseball, listening to country music, playing board games such as Dungeons & Dragons, travelling, and discovering different cultures and perspectives. A highly sociable person, he especially values meaningful conversations and discussions about the issues shaping our society.
