Ahmad Elmawieh is running with the Parti Vert du Québec to help improve quality of life, strengthen dialogue between citizens and government, and advocate for a more ecological, compassionate, and peaceful society. For him, politics is first and foremost about listening to the population, engaging with citizens, and seeking concrete solutions to the challenges they face.

Born in Lebanon, Ahmad studied architecture at the Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture of the Lebanese University, where he graduated in 1995. He began his architectural career in Lebanon as an architect before pursuing his professional career in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, where he contributed to large-scale projects for major, well-established companies. In 2007, Ahmad moved to Quebec with his family. Quebec’s French-speaking character, the quality of its education system, as well as the desire to provide his daughter with a safer environment offering greater opportunities, all played an important role in this decision.

After arriving in Quebec, Ahmad continued his studies and obtained a master’s degree in project management in planning and development from the Université de Montréal in 2010. He currently works as an architect and has been a member of the Ordre des architectes du Québec since 2023. He is also interested in new technologies and has written academic articles on topics including artificial intelligence and its applications in architecture. In his view, artificial intelligence will not replace architects, but rather represents a new tool that can support their work.

His experience in Quebec has also made him more aware of the challenges facing our public services. Having chosen Canada in part because of its healthcare system and social safety net, he is concerned about long emergency room wait times and difficulties accessing a doctor. He believes that these delays can worsen health problems and wants Quebec to protect and improve access to healthcare.

The environment and sustainable development have long been important aspects of his civic engagement. From 2013 to 2016, Ahmad served on the board of directors of the Canadian Association for the United Nations of Greater Montreal, where he was involved in its sustainable development initiatives. This experience strengthened his interest in the connections between the environment, quality of life, and public policy.

Ahmad chose the Parti Vert du Québec because he shares its environmental and social values, as well as its commitment to peace. He particularly identifies with the party’s positions against war and its solidarity with the Palestinian people. He hopes to contribute to a political approach that prioritizes dialogue, cooperation, and the pursuit of peaceful solutions.

In his free time, Ahmad enjoys visiting public gardens and spending time with his family. Having practiced gymnastics in his youth, he also maintains an interest in physical activity and well-being.

For Ahmad Elmawieh, every vote cast for the Parti Vert du Québec shows that our ideas resonate with the population, helps us gain a stronger presence in the public debate, and contributes to funding the Parti Vert through the per-vote subsidy. For all these reasons, and many more, Ahmad Elmawieh would be honoured to have your support in the next election. Every vote counts!
