Alex Tyrrell calls for more doctors, rural health services

Last stop on my tour of Abitibi-Témiscamingue and the Laurentians; a visit to the Residences Stephen Jake Beaven in Montcalm, Quebec, where a coalition of local residents who financed and built a medical clinic have just learned that the provincial government won't be sending them a doctor.

Quebec's regions are entitled to accessible health care, family doctors and preventive care.tives. Instead of investing in regional healthcare, the Couillard government is doing exactly the opposite by cutting services, centralizing lab tests and pushing citizens towards private services by increasing wait times for essential services.

The Green Party of Quebec stands in solidarity with the rural population of Quebec, who should be treated with dignity, respect and quality public health care.
