"A first candidate is officially on the starting line for the provincial election in the new riding of Mont-Royal-Outremont. Vincent J. Carbonneau will run for the Green Party of Quebec (PVQ).

This will be the fourth election campaign for the Université de Montréal law student. He first ran for the Green Party in the Estrie region in 2014 and then at the federal level in Lachine-Dorval in 2017. Two years ago, he defended the political party's colors in a provincial by-election in Marie-Victorin.

This time, Mr. Carbonneau is running in a riding he says he knows well, having studied there for the past seven years. His desire to put social justice and environmental issues at the heart of the campaign motivated him to run again.
