Visit the "Technoparc" wetlands today with Halimatou Bahour candidate in Saint-Laurent and Joël Coutuan activist who has been campaigning for years to protect this unique spot on the island of Montreal!
Here are the proposals put forward by the Green Party of Quebec:
✅Recognition of the site's exceptional ecological value by the provincial government
✅ Immediately repair damage caused by the construction of roads and dykes on the site, and raise the volume of water to the same level as before the work began.
✅ The creation of a protected wildlife reserve, open to all, with footpaths.
With all the development on the island of Montreal, we have to do everything we can to protect the last wetlands like this one, which is currently located in an industrial park.
