Quebec Green Party leader Alex Tyrrell took part last night in an important planning meeting of anti-war movements in Montreal and across Canada. At the meeting, the need for Canada and NATO to radically change their approach to the conflict with Russia was discussed, as well as the need to advocate peace.
With the planet on the brink of nuclear confrontation, Alex Tyrrell stressed that we all have a responsibility to advocate peace and oppose the pro-war rhetoric of the mainstream media. He also called for pressure on our governments to abandon their reckless actions of escalation, including sending tanks and other lethal weapons to the front line.
Although the anti-war movement is still small, Alex Tyrrell stressed that it is rapidly being reborn as the world moves ever closer to World War III. He urged all citizens to work together for a peaceful world, where every individual is treated with dignity and respect.
