Today I am proud to announce my support for warning labels on all gas pumps in Quebec.
A campaign led by OurHorizon.org aims to put warning labels on gas pumps to make a direct and formally recognized link between fossil fuels and climate change, a fact that many critics of the environmental movement have not always acknowledged.
Warning labels on gas pumps will allow us to move the conversation forward, and highlight the link between oil and climate change.
If elected leader, I will propose to put warning labels on all gas pumps in Quebec; an inexpensive gesture that will allow us to move the debate forward by clearly associating the causes of climate change and air pollution as we currently do with warnings on tobacco products.
