“The leader of the Green Party of Quebec, Alex Tyrrell was there with his press attaché on January 9 to help. He too believes this is a major loss for the community.
“We find it really unfortunate that the co-op is closing. It was a vital community organization and it gave a chance for many local artists to perform. It was also the only place where there was a candidates’ debate in the last (provincial) election. The provincial government needs to do more to support co-ops of all kinds,” he exclaimed.
