Last night, Radio-Canada’s La Facture revealed that the Bureau du taxi de Montréal is busy seizing vehicles and fining carpoolers.
Benoît Jugand, the general manager of the Bureau du taxi de Montréal acknowledges that the law is ambiguous. The Minister of Transport must legislate quickly to put an end to this type of harassment and to encourage public transit.
It is not the Bureau du taxi that will stop the practice of carpooling.
Deregulation now!
