Tonight I would like to offer my sincere congratulations to Mr. Peter Beaven Baker, the leader and the first green elected official in the history of Prince Edward Island!
Mr. Beaven-Baker has led a progressive campaign based on the principles of environmental protection and social justice.
His agenda includes the establishment of the first abortion clinic on the island, free education and the need for a quality public health care system.
Mr. Beaven Barker becomes the third Green to be elected to a provincial legislature in Canada since 2013. In addition to Ms. May at the federal level.
With this victory one thing is clear in Canada; the Green parties are growing, and we are increasingly a force to be reckoned with in public debate.
Congratulations to Peter Beaven-Baker and the entire Prince Edward Island Green Party team!
