This morning I took part in a protest and press conference organized by the People’s Coalition for Responsible Civil Aviation.
At a time when the speed of climate change is ever increasing it is not acceptable that governments around the world continue to systematically exclude aviation emissions from carbon reduction targets.
Here in Canada, countless tonnes of carbon ads emitted during short haul flights. This problem is fuelled by the utter lack of high speed rail between major Canadian cities such as Montreal and Toronto.
The time his come to reduce the number of flights and turn to more sustainable forms of transport.
This morning’s action coincided with the opening of a major global aviation industry conference.
