The leader of the Green Party of Quebec, Alex Tyrrell, spoke on August 13 to introduce the candidacy of Rachid Jemmah, official Green Party candidate for the 2022 provincial election in the riding of Hull. Together, they took a public stand on an important issue for the party, namely the whole question of valuing and supporting the actors of our health care system.
The Green Party of Quebec believes that it is high time to recognize the problems of health care professionals and to take action by proposing concrete policies and solutions to put an end to the critical situation in which nurses and attendants in the province find themselves.
Rachid Jemmah, the candidate concerned, then indicated his great interest in improving Quebec’s health care system: “Today, I must speak to you about a particular issue, that of the health care system, I would like to take the time to congratulate the heroes of the health care personnel in the Outaouais and those in Quebec for their remarkable efforts during the pandemic. I would like to see more doctors and nurses hired, but also for every family to have a family doctor, I would like to see more talk about salaries in the health care system”.
