The leader of the Green Party of Quebec, Alex Tyrrell, and Victoria Shahsavar-Arshad, candidate in Groulx, took the floor on Friday to present the party’s proposal for dental and vision care.
With universal health coverage already in place, the Green Party believes it is time for the province to consider all elements related to the health of Quebecers.
We believe that dental care is just as important as the overall health of Quebecers and that it is an essential component of overall health and that in a place as rich as Quebec, residents should be able to keep all their teeth. However, at present, many people in the province cannot afford these sometimes expensive services, thus neglecting a major aspect of their health and well-being. For these reasons, we are proposing to make dental care free for everyone.
Sight is an essential element of our health. However, many Quebecers go without this care because it can be expensive. This is why we are proposing the introduction of free eye exams for everyone.
