Last week, Canada supported U.S.-led bombing raids against the Houthis in Yemen. The Houthis targeted ships linked to Israel in protest against the ongoing genocide in the Gaza Strip.
These bombings represent a major escalation in the ongoing war in the Middle East. Such actions are likely to widen the conflict and draw other countries into it. While supporting these bombings, the Canadian government has unilaterally rejected South Africa's complaint to the International Court of Justice, accusing Israel of genocide.
The Canadian government is on the wrong track when it comes to foreign policy. Justin Trudeau did not have parliamentary authorization to participate in the bombing of Yemen. Canada is acting as a puppet of the United States. Trudeau condones genocide. His foreign policy denies human rights to many identifiable groups.
